| Scope of Services A variety of environmental impact
evaluations are made to satisfy requirements of the National
Environmental Policy Act and related planning processes that
have been established by various federal agencies. In addition,
many states have established their own requirements for
environmental impact analyses of selected types of development
projects.
Statistical models and regional input-output analyses are
frequently made by the firm to assess social and economic
impacts (see
www.implan.com). Spatial analyses using
GIS technology are often applied to carry out various types of
land use and natural resource evaluations.
Experience
Pedersen Planning Consultants has completed a considerable
number of environmental impact assessments and impact statement
for a variety of public and private development projects. Most
of these evaluations were completed during the early years of
the firm in the mid to late 1980s and early 1990s. Some
